Failure of mobile networks, power grid, internet – exactly then emergency communication must work. Situation assessment through feedback of important device and environmental data. Information and routing of affected persons and helpers.
You rent NIKOS through certified partners in your region – see what is included and how it works.
NIKOS keeps running autonomously when mobile networks, power and internet fail – for alerting, announcements, crowd management, central control and system monitoring.
The can, among other things, serve as a radio dispatch centre to coordinate the mobile radio users. Even though the
can do far more than a normal radio dispatcher, this basic function remains very important for everyday operation and saves a separate operating position for organisational radio. In an emergency, staff and safety functions can thus be controlled from a single system. Through our rental partners we provide radios and the corresponding infrastructure to set up temporary networks. If required,
can also be integrated into an existing radio system. It is often advantageous to integrate
into the organisational radio, avoiding duplicate infrastructure and multiple handheld radios for individual staff members. In certain cases, however, it can make sense to technically separate the NIKOS applications from everyday voice radio. We are happy to advise you on this.
Via the running programme can be interrupted at individual or all locations at the push of a button and an announcement delivered – live, pre-recorded, imported as a file or via text-to-speech, synchronous and without delay. Areas without their own PA are covered by
speakers; disruptive noise sources can be switched off briefly via
.
Every unit immediately reports a failure of its main power supply and keeps running on its internal battery for up to 16 hours. When
is deliberately connected to an important power circuit, the power supply for the other devices connected there can also be monitored easily. If the power fails, this is reported immediately to the
and the radio of the responsible electrician, so the problem can be fixed as quickly as possible.
speakers and
emergency lights take over automatic emergency operation in the meantime, ensuring that announcements and emergency lighting at the important points remain available even during a power outage.
Light masts, water pumps and other devices can be switched via 's switching functions – by timer or radio from the
, without staff having to travel there. If, for example, the water pressure drops,
tops it up automatically before a problem arises.
Via , staff and affected persons can be alerted immediately in case of hazards – acoustically by announcement or warning tone via
and visually via the
strobe, at individual locations or site-wide. An alarm at one point can automatically trigger further locations.
Gates, enclosures and fences equipped with report every opening or vibration with a timestamp to the
and to mobile patrols; at the same time a
emergency light switches on or the
strobe signals the incident. If needed, a warning tone or announcement sounds via
. Via
, large floodlights of up to 2300 W (10 A) can also be switched if needed. Even a simple bell wire used as a contact loop is enough for monitoring in certain cases.
At the push of a button on the or via a scenario trigger, media players, LED screens and signage can be switched to predefined content – such as “Please pay attention to the announcement” or a severe-weather warning.
Coupled with a people-counting system, automatically activates a yellow light at the affected entrances when a threshold is exceeded. After the entrance is closed it turns red and the counting system or radios are informed that the entrance is closed. As soon as enough people have left the area, the display switches back to yellow and, after the entrance reopens, to green – including a confirmation message.
Wireless emergency lights are mounted in minutes without tools on masts, trees or trusses, charge during the day via their solar panel and switch automatically via a twilight sensor. Removal is only possible with a special tool (theft protection).
NIKOS needs no fixed infrastructure on site. The modules can be set up and configured by one or two people within minutes; planning, set-up and support are handled by the NIKOS partner in your region. Exclusively usable frequencies are applied for with the frequency regulator for every deployment – at short notice this is possible for increased fees.
An operator is always required for announcements and monitoring – either your own staff after a briefing or a technician from the NIKOS partner as part of a full-service contract. Find a partner in your region
