NIKOS is not a conventional PA system, but a radio-based public address, alarm and control system for large events, construction sites and crisis situations, which you can rent by the day through certified partners and either integrate into your PA or use on its own.
ChallengeBasel Tattoo places high demands on visitor safety: warnings and instructions must remain clearly intelligible despite loud music and densely occupied spectator areas. International guests need clear information that can still be perceived even when ambient noise levels are high. When visitor density is high, mobile networks may become overloaded; in the event of a power failure or disruptions to public communication networks, warnings must still be transmitted.
Instead of multiple separate solutions:
unites visitor information, system monitoring, visitor guidance and control in a single network-independent platform. ![NIKOS [dispatcher]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS dispatcher.svg)
controls the announcement units for individual announcement locations, specific areas or the entire event site. Warnings can be triggered centrally, reducing the need for distributed operating stations and separate control devices.
fully meets DIN EN 50849 (electroacoustic emergency warning systems). The system was designed specifically for safety-relevant announcement and alerting tasks, technically built for everyday operation as well as for emergencies. For ELA systems, DIN EN 50849 sets out the relevant framework. Because — unlike mobile network-based solutions — does not depend on any external network, it is always immediately usable and fully meets the requirements set out in the standard. Other safety-related standards such as DIN EN 54, DIN VDE 0833-4 or DIN 14675 (voice alarm systems) concern a different field of use and functional scope and are therefore not relevant for in terms of approval. Since 2017, has been used successfully many times as a public address system for temporary and mobile applications in mission-critical communication tasks. RADACOM and your regional partner will be pleased to advise you on 's wide range of functions and support you in implementing the requirements cost-effectively. operates via its own independent wireless network and is not dependent on public communication networks. Following an interruption to the wireless connection, the connection is automatically re-established. ![NIKOS [audio]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS audio.svg)
has an internal battery with up to 16 hours of operating time and also supplies connected accessory modules with power. The emergency warning system remains operational in the event of a power failure, as well as during disruptions or overloads affecting public communication networks. is designed for flexible outdoor applications without permanent infrastructure. One or two people can mount the modules on load-bearing structures at the event site within just a few minutes and configure them individually. A Schuko power outlet is sufficient for continuous operation. alerts conductors, bandleaders or DJs by means of a flashing light, prompting them to stop the music immediately. Once the light signal is given, the performance is interrupted so that announcements are intelligible. Important announcements reliably reach the audience even when the music is loud. is rented by the day through certified partners, including consulting, instruction and technical support.
