ChallengeAt Hessentag 2027 in Idstein, evacuation announcements present a particular challenge due to crowds, high noise levels and visitors who speak different languages. Warnings and instructions must reach all visitors clearly and intelligibly despite the high ambient noise. When visitor density is high, the mobile network quickly becomes overloaded and unsuitable for crisis communication.

controls the announcement units for individual announcement locations, targeted areas or the entire event site. This reduces the need for separate control devices and for personnel who would otherwise have to coordinate announcements at multiple locations.
meets the requirements of DIN EN 50849 for electroacoustic emergency warning systems. The system was developed specifically for safety-relevant announcements and alerting and is technically designed for both everyday operation and emergency situations. DIN EN 50849 represents the relevant reference framework for ELA systems. Unlike mobile network-based systems, does not depend on any external network and is therefore immediately ready for use at all times — fully meeting the standard as a result. Other standards known from safety technology, such as DIN EN 54, DIN VDE 0833-4 and DIN 14675 (voice alarm systems), do not apply to , as they are not applicable to radio-based public address systems like . is a public address system for temporary and mobile applications and has been used successfully many times for mission-critical communication tasks since 2017. RADACOM and your regional partner will be happy to advise you on ’s wide range of functions and support you in implementing the requirements cost-effectively. operates via its own autonomous radio network and is completely independent of public communications networks and their availability. This makes the system highly resistant to external influences. Since does not rely on cable connections but communicates via radio, the connection is automatically re-established after an interruption. therefore responds much more resiliently to disruptions in normal operations than many other systems, demonstrating the crisis resilience of this communication system. ![NIKOS [audio]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS audio.svg)
has an internal battery with a runtime of up to 16 hours and also supplies connected accessory modules. Even if the mobile network is overloaded, the internet provider has been hacked or someone has unplugged the wrong cable, continues to function. One or two people can mount the modules on different structures, such as lampposts, stages, stalls or trees, within just a few minutes and configure them individually. A standard Schuko power outlet is sufficient for continuous operation. uses an existing digital radio network. can be used to implement various functions via a single communications platform. These savings can quickly offset ’s rental and installation costs. You can find some specific examples of potential savings here. When its wide range of functions is used consistently, often delivers savings in the overall budget in addition to increasing the level of security and making employees’ work easier. primarily reduces the effort required for separate loudspeaker, control and communications solutions. Less material and cabling are needed, and information and emergency announcements can be made from a single location. can also specifically replace personnel: tasks that would otherwise require several security, reporting or operating posts distributed across the site can be handled from one location through central announcements, remote control and status monitoring. This can reduce staffing requirements or allow personnel to be deployed more effectively at security-critical points. The greatest savings potential arises at fenced events, such as festivals and corporate events: monitoring emergency exit gates technically with can cover the need to guard them, meaning that security posts at emergency exits can be eliminated or deployed more effectively elsewhere. Rental and installation costs are therefore offset by savings in personnel and other technology. Especially at temporary, time-limited events, this significantly reduces the costs of planning, setup and operation of the security technology. is rented by the day through certified partners, including consultation, instruction and technical support; enquiries are handled via the rental page.
