NIKOS is not a conventional PA system, but a radio-based public address, alarm and control system for large events, construction sites and crisis situations, which you can rent by the day through certified partners and either integrate into your PA or use on its own.
ChallengeAt ChocolART in Tübingen, crowds, a noisy environment and visitors who speak other languages make evacuation announcements a particular challenge. In a hazardous situation, instructions must reach all visitors clearly and in good time. The high visitor density can also overload the mobile network. Communication channels based on mobile networks are therefore not reliable enough for an evacuation.
With
, announcements, system monitoring, visitor information and device control come together on a single platform — completely independent of public networks. ![NIKOS [dispatcher]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS dispatcher.svg)
centrally controls the announcement units for individual announcement locations, specific areas or the entire site. This allows evacuation announcements to be triggered in a targeted way and reduces the need for distributed operating posts and separate control units.
is standard-compliant: the system meets DIN EN 50849 for electroacoustic emergency warning systems. was developed specifically for safety-relevant announcements and alerting — usable both in everyday operation and in an emergency. For ELA systems, DIN EN 50849 forms the decisive reference framework. Unlike mobile network-based systems, fully meets these requirements because it operates independently of an external network and is therefore immediately ready for use at any time. Other safety-related standards such as DIN EN 54, DIN VDE 0833-4 and DIN 14675 (voice alarm systems) do not apply to , since they concern a different field of use and functional scope. As a public address system for temporary and mobile deployments, has already been used successfully many times for mission-critical communication tasks since 2017. RADACOM and your regional partner will be happy to advise you on the wide range of functions and support you in implementing the requirements cost-effectively. operates via its own autonomous radio network, independent of public communication networks. ![NIKOS [audio]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS audio.svg)
has an internal battery with a runtime of up to 16 hours and also powers connected accessory modules. This keeps evacuation announcements for ChocolART reliably operational even in the event of a power failure or disruptions to public communication networks. was developed specifically for flexible outdoor deployments without permanent infrastructure. One or two people can mount the modules on a variety of structures such as lampposts, stages, stands or trees within a few minutes and configure them individually. A standard Schuko power connection is sufficient for continuous operation. operates via its own autonomous radio network. interrupts integrated music systems for the duration of an announcement. This lowers the background noise level and significantly improves the intelligibility of announcements. Existing music systems can also be used for announcements, so no separate announcement sound system needs to be set up. is rented by the day through certified partners, including advice, instruction and technical support.
