NIKOS is not a conventional PA system, but a radio-based public address, alarm and control system for large events, construction sites and crisis situations, which you can rent by the day through certified partners and either integrate into your PA or use on its own.
ChallengeAt events, a PA system presents particular challenges in crowded conditions, noisy environments and with visitors who speak different languages. Important information and instructions must remain clearly intelligible even amid high levels of background noise. Large numbers of visitors can also overload public communications networks.
With
, announcements, system monitoring, visitor information and device control come together on a single platform — fully independent of the public network. By combining announcement, alarm and control functions on a single platform, the need for separate loudspeaker systems, dedicated control devices and specialist personnel to install and manage different subsystems is reduced. Centralised operation via ![NIKOS [dispatcher]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS dispatcher.svg)
lowers the material, installation and operating effort, as well as the costs of additional personnel and other equipment.
fully meets DIN EN 50849 "Electroacoustic Emergency Warning Systems". The system was specifically designed for safety-relevant announcements and alerting and is technically built for both everyday and emergency use. DIN EN 50849 is the relevant standard for radio-based ELA systems such as . Because , unlike mobile network-based systems, operates independently of an external network, immediate usability is guaranteed at all times — fully meeting the standard's requirements as a result. Other safety-related standards such as DIN EN 54, DIN VDE 0833-4 and DIN 14675 (voice alarm systems), by contrast, do not apply to , as they concern a different field of use and functional scope and are therefore not relevant to 's deployment. As the only public address system for temporary and mobile applications consistently designed around the demands of mission-critical use, has been used successfully for crisis-proof communication tasks since 2017. RADACOM and your regional partner will be pleased to advise you on ’s wide range of functions and support you in implementing the requirements cost-effectively. remains operational even if public communications networks or the power supply fail. The system uses its own self-contained radio network; ![NIKOS [audio]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS audio.svg)
has an internal battery with a runtime of up to 16 hours and also supplies connected accessory modules. Since no cable routes are required, the connection is automatically restored after an interruption. is designed for flexible outdoor use without permanent infrastructure. One or two people can mount the modules on structures such as lampposts, stages, stalls or trees within a few minutes and configure them individually. A standard Schuko power connection is sufficient for continuous operation. controls announcement units for individual announcement locations, specific areas or the entire event site. This enables those responsible to issue information and alarms from a central location. Visitors therefore receive the announcement required for them in the designated area. is rented by the day through certified partners, including consultation, instruction and technical support.
