NIKOS is not a conventional PA system, but a radio-based public address, alarm and control system for large events, construction sites and crisis situations, which you can rent by the day through certified partners and either integrate into your PA or use on its own.
ChallengeLarge numbers of visitors move along the long parade route during Christopher Street Day in Berlin. Floats, music and dense crowds make it difficult to understand safety-related announcements. In the event of a terror warning, alerts and instructions must be issued clearly, quickly and either section by section or along the entire route, while the heavily congested mobile network cannot provide a reliable basis.
combines announcements, alerting, visitor information and control in a single, network-independent platform. ![NIKOS [dispatcher]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS dispatcher.svg)
controls public-address units as required for individual announcement locations, specific areas or the entire event route. Centralised operation reduces separate control technology, parallel communication channels and repeated operating tasks along the route. Personnel travel, operator stations and security posts are reduced because recurring tasks are controlled centrally and monitored or carried out by .
meets the requirements of DIN EN 50849 (electroacoustic emergency warning systems). was developed specifically for safety-relevant public address and alerting applications and is technically designed for use in both everyday and emergency situations. For electroacoustic emergency warning systems, DIN EN 50849 is the relevant reference framework. Unlike mobile network-based systems, fully meets the requirements specified therein, as it does not depend on an external network and can therefore be used immediately at any time. Other standards known from safety technology, such as DIN EN 54, DIN VDE 0833-4 and DIN 14675 (voice alarm systems), do not apply to the field of use and functional scope of and are therefore not relevant for approval. is a public address system for temporary and mobile applications and has been successfully deployed in numerous mission-critical communication tasks since 2017. RADACOM and your regional partner will be happy to advise you on the wide range of functions and support you in implementing the requirements cost-effectively. uses a single, standardised communication platform to provide a range of different functions. These savings quickly offset the rental and installation costs of . You can find some specific examples of savings here. mainly reduces the effort required for separate loudspeaker, control and communication solutions. Material requirements and cabling work are reduced, and information and emergency announcements can be made from a single location.![NIKOS [audio]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS audio.svg)
receives the voice transmission wirelessly on site and outputs it as an analogue audio signal via the floats’ mobile public-address systems. This allows safety-related announcements to be broadcast through the existing sound systems on the floats, without having to set up a separate announcement chain for each float. Locations without an existing public-address system are supplemented with ![NIKOS [horn]²](https://nikos.info/assets/logos/nikos/SVG/NIKOS horn.svg)
