At an open-air concert, stage operations, audience noise and changing wind directions can mask safety-critical announcements. When severe weather, overcrowding or an incident requires rapid instructions, individual areas or the entire site must be reached without delay. High noise levels and the lack of permanent infrastructure make it difficult to communicate information reliably to all spectators. In addition, mobile networks are often unreliable due to the high density of visitors, meaning conventional public address systems quickly reach their limits.

Für Veranstaltungen wie ein Open-Air-Konzert bündelt NIKOS die Steuerung, Überwachung und Ausgabe sicherheitsrelevanter Durchsagen in einer Plattform. For events such as an open-air concert, NIKOS combines the control, monitoring and delivery of safety-critical announcements in one platform. NIKOS [dispatcher]² controls the announcement units as needed for individual announcement locations, designated areas or the entire site. NIKOS [audio]² receives voice transmissions on site via radio and outputs them as an analogue audio signal; NIKOS [horn]² supplements the acoustic output at locations without an existing sound reinforcement system. Ja, dem ist so: NIKOS erfüllt die Vorgaben der DIN EN 50849 für elektroakustische Notfallwarnsysteme. Das System wurde eigens für sicherheitsrelevante Durchsagen und Alarmierungen entwickelt und ist sowohl für den Alltagsbetrieb als auch für Notfallsituationen technisch ausgelegt. Die DIN EN 50849 stellt dabei den maßgeblichen Orientierungsrahmen für ELA-Anlagen dar. Im Unterschied zu mobilfunkbasierten Systemen hängt NIKOS von keinem fremden Netz ab und ist deshalb jederzeit sofort einsatzbereit — die Norm wird dadurch vollständig erfüllt. NIKOS [audio]² verfügt über einen internen Akku mit bis zu 16 Stunden Laufzeit und versorgt darüber auch angeschlossene Zubehörmodule. So bleiben elektroakustische Notfallwarnsysteme für Open-Air-Konzerte auch bei Ausfall der Stromversorgung oder Störungen in öffentlichen Kommunikationsnetzen zuverlässig funktionsfähig.
NIKOS operates via its own autonomous radio network and does not depend on mobile communications, Wi-Fi or the internet. NIKOS [audio]² has an internal battery with up to 16 hours of operating time and also powers connected accessory modules. Yes. NIKOS was specifically developed for flexible outdoor use without permanent infrastructure. The modules can be mounted by one or two people within a few minutes on various structures such as street lamps, stages, trees, stalls or decorations, and configured individually.
